Why pay rent to the bank?  Why pay property taxes on a home with no equity?  Does it make sense to pay a mortgage on a devalued home when I can rent a home down the street for much less? 

These are questions many underwater homeowners are currently raising and responding to negatively.  Thus, voluntary foreclosures have become a major factor in the ongoing housing crisis.  And this is the subject of this week’s conversation, “What should I do, who should I be?” on the Tavis Smiley radio show.
